Despite all the praise I found this to be a very middling drama. Its story offers a unique outlook but that does not necessarily make it an interesting story, with a slow paced approach that is never rewarded and story beats that have all the dramatic subtlety of a brick.

The cast does deserve all the praise they can get because the performances are exceptional, but outside of those the film is held back by its uninspired direction.
