Industry was ready to crown Beyoncé in 2001 you saw that push (Carmen movie, all the focus on here promoting the Survivor album) but it was interesting how Aaliyah had also comeback that summer before the tragedy (and Alicia was coming out and Mary J back)
Would have been interesting to see if the media would have tried and pitted them
