:rudy:

nikkas dont know Drake and 40 been making rnb 90s type tracks since 2009 when So Far Gone dropped...

:russ: @ fools thinking missy or timbo could make a better executive produce record for Aaliyah than 40. The guy is a huge fan and is a monster behind the boards... Yall go bump that new Trey Songz or Usher pop record while 40 takes us back to the 90s..:pacspit:

exactly.

The problem is drake sounds way to aggy on this song ... sounds like one of his MMG calbos

Nobody wants to hear Drake be Tupac ...

probably would be less backlash if he sang. :ld:

I'm not saying you can't curse on a song with Aaliyah, but GOD DAMN Drake was so blatant with it.

At least be light with the cursing, etc.

This dude literally went hard with the cursing 3 seconds after Aaliyah was finished singing

It doesn't matter how many R&B records from the 90's 40 and Drake sample. If it sounds wack, no matter who produces or executive produces, it's not going to go over well with her fans. The sound that 40 and Drake have together is their sound. It doesn't mean that they can just throw that on an Aaliyah record even if they are highly influenced by her work.

Missy and Timbaland created a sound with Aaliyah. Their contributions, if they are involved, probably wouldn't be anything they re-worked for 2012 anyway. It'd probably be tracks from the One In A Million and/or Aaliyah sessions. There's probably also unreleased collaborations she did for their albums that the public hasn't heard.

Even taking Missy and Timbaland out of the equation, there's still Rapture and E. Seats who did the bulk of Aaliyah. People who actually knew Aaliyah and her sound contributing to a project >>>>> artists and producers who will just apply their sound to her's.
