I've responded to this like 8 times and I thought that it saved responses. But whenever I come back from work it's gone. I quit lol. I'll say this - you're conflating a bunch of different arguments. The elite QB argument isn't exclusive of, nor independent of a good team. Also, being drafted early doesn't make you elite. The rounds of players are irrelevant - it's their performance. Elite QBs have saved bad coaching throughout the last decade but they can seldom overcome it. And A-Rod had a better statline than Brady. But BRady was better for 2 1/2 quarters and it ended up being the difference.

Also, the Patriots argument is bad faith. Those QBs played well against them because those were years where the defense was bad, not because of them being played differently. If they faced what Manning and Warner did they would look like ass.

My point was that the best teams aren't hitching their wagon to the QB hoping for him to save them. They don't go as their QB goes. He goes as they go. The best teams QBs are a cog in the machine vs being the machine. The cog QBs usually win more than the machine QBs. You are gonna perform better when there is less literal/figurative pressure on you. Brady was better in the first half. ARod was better in the 2nd. The difference ended up being defense. TB got more pressure and got away with shyt. ARod could have been better though. I've seen references to the aggressiveness before. Could you detail the instances where ARod wasn't aggressive enough and how that hurt the team? Is being the more aggressive QB in game that are leading big and your aggressiveness opens the door for the other team really a good thing?

Do you think they approached Foles, Plummer, Flacco, Eli etc the same way they approached Manning and Warner? The defense was ass last year? It was ass in 07? Every time they happened to lose to a team with a marginal to decent QB the D just happened to be bad? If that's the case, that actually supports my point. Pats had the clear, undeniable edge at QB in all these game and they lost because of defense.

Why do yall keep saying Brady was worse? It was a draw. Brady made the biggest plays when needed period, and its only a draw because of the picks. He was the more aggressive passer even in the face of multiple interceptions and multiple drops, and challenged GB's secondary deep repeatedly...
