he said he didn't do it on purpose. he was in a drug induced state and barely remembers how it happened. he is explicitly anti-suicide.

Yeah I heard him say that on the Char interview. Still very anti-suicide and pro drugs

And I believe him, I just (personally, and I'm not sayin it's really the case - I'm just a listener) wouldn't be surprised if the drugs really spiraled after that. He's always been a drug dude, and anyone that's abusing drugs think they have control over it. A lot of times people are masking and pushing aside whatever trauma is causing them pain via drugs.

With his past, losing his ex to suicide, Mac's death (and the additional losses after) all together could've been what got that drug/cig binge to it's limit. It's hard to see when you're in the storm.

idk if it's the truth but it's def some mind blowing ish. we'll see now that he seems to have stopped vaping.
he says he wrote this before the incident so if it's true he would have been experiencing the anxiety and whatever was going on with the vaping.

I don’t think they’re as close as they once were. No beef or anything but they’re not the kids running around trying to get a deal anymore. They all blew up in their own ways and I distinctly remember there being a bit of tension during Kendrick’s early ascent when the media was referring to them as “Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy” . They all got their own success since then and now they are all grown and most of them have kids now I could see scheduling ans creative aspirations being a factor. Hell Kendrick isn’t even TDE anymore and has a whole new crop of artists he’s pushing, including his cousin.

Soul always been my fav at TDE. I'm happy for him man, he been through it.
