Why is it only blacks coming out and renounoucing their race.

Nobody is renouncing their "race" or culture for that matter. People are renouncing the definitions and self images given to them by the same power structure that people are railing against.

It's just that some people are so attached to the only identity that they've been given in this country (whether it be victims or survivors of slavery) that they will fight tooth and nail to maintain it because they don't have anything to replace it with.

They have allowed the very people that hate them determine who and what they are. This is about sovereignty, about the ego death and transformation of "Black" America as an entity. Slave and slave master mentality do not have to be inherited by our children. The color code is a tool to keep the perception and self image of people of African heritage associated with fear based emotions on a subconscious level.

When is the last time Mexicans or White people have been reduced to a color/word that is routinely associated with negativity or fear in any other context?

Where are the yellow Americans? When is the last time you've seen "Brown" on a government form? Black is not a "race", ethnicity or an identity, it's a description...an inaccurate one at that.
