You know how hollywood is. They don't want too much blackness. So if you have a black lead, they can't have a black love interest in a leading role too.

So what's going to happen is they will throw in a few black women to make black women feel included. But maybe only one or two will last through most of the season. They will have a lot of non-black women so their target audience won't feel threatened that this has turned into a "black" show. In the end he will pick a non-black woman, just like the black bachelorette picked a white man.

They already know his dating preferences, just like they knew the black bachelorette's.

I think we all have a feeling he is being selected on his 'preferences' which unfortunately may not align with sistas. They are just describing the inevitable social media backlash.

I am seriously divided about whether I would rather them keep us off than consistently push the idea we aren't good with each other. I was fine with Scandal and HTGAWM but now every Black woman seems to not be paired with a BM to the extent I am concerned about the brainwashing my kids may endure when they grow up. IR is fine, but it shouldn't be used to degrade the legitimacy or desirability of Black pairings.

At least with meager representation we usually got to control the images. With more access came the strings attached...
