You will never see a 6ft4, dark skinned alpha male as a lead in a reality show like this. As much controversy as it would raise and bring them ratings, the backlash wouldn’t be worth it to them.

Watch commercials and see the same shyt. White man + Black woman? Usually she's medium or dark and unambiguous in her Blackness. The white dude is always Anglo/Nordic looking...ultra white.

White woman + Black man? They get the darkest haired olive skinned EyeTalian and pair her with a paper bag breh...so they damn near look like a Puerto Ricans couple.

Come on, no one is saying that. Especially when history has shown our most thorough brothers against white supremacy have been light skinned (Muhammad Ali, Farrakhan, Malcolm X, Huey P Newton etc.)

We’re talking about reality tv dating shows, they’ll pick a certain type of black man/woman. This isn’t trying to denigrate any skin tones.

I hear what you’re saying. I would say the same if it was a Carlton Banks cornball type brother. I’ve never perpetuated the dumb “light skinned men soft/feminine” jokes. It just perpetuates CACs ideology.

That being said, it would be impossible to ignore how the powers that be are more ‘ ‘tolerant’ of biracial/light skinned black folk. Would Obama have been elected twice if he didn’t have a white mother? Highly unlikely.

safe negro not always not a real nikka though, i aint seen the show in a minute but they had a couple of cool nikkas on the show but yeah you do need to be if not whitewashed, palatable to white audiences. this a show for middle america in the end, the ideal male contestant is probably high school qb and female is cheerleader or beauty queen.
