Here let me compromise with you. First let's just lay down the facts. Some kids in the system are not being adopted and live their whole lives in the system until being aged out and then by that time they are usually on a bad path.Really? Wow...You're so caring for the well being of children, yet at the same time tell them they deserve to die, because there's virtually no way to care for them huh?
In your universe where abortion is illegal, now on top of those unwanted children you have exponentially increased the number of those individuals in foster care and also expenitionally increase the amount of kids being raised by parents who are either not even fit to raise them or want to raise them and Maybe a smaller minority of parents who overcame the challenge.
So I would be all for abortion bring illegal if you could guarantee proper socialization of those children and there is some guarantee that there is someone there to raise that plethora of children who you forced to be born in bad circumstances. If you could guarantee that without fail then I would be for illegalization of abortion.
Here is the rub though, this fantasy land above doesn't exist. I would be interested to know if any folks in this thread have adopted and you can't even guarantee TODAY that the current kids being given up for adoption are being taken care of. So what this tells people is that at this point you're only created larger segment of society who are unwanted and unloved.
I'm all for education of people for better family planning and taking proper precautions and being more responsible from the outset. However, I wish everyone was as smart or had things work out in their lives in such a why they never have to worry about these things. But that is unrealistic and I find abortion to be a last line of defense in that fight. I see no reason to remove that safety barrier.
