About these HBCU's, man

I'm not knocking the concept of HBCU's AT ALL, I went to a PWI and all four years I was there I wished there were more black people around me. But my big hangup about HBCU's are the above mentioned admin and academic issues that are not being addressed because people want to look at these schools through rose-tinted glasses instead of fixing the problems.

Fair enough. Just feel bad about their finances.

Ive heard about the paper work thing before at other HBCUs but they were lower end anyway

I went to a PWI. the Greek life thing and people skipping class was prevalent there as well.

What's with the vitriol? This is a debate on HBCU's and PWI's. If you're going to bash everybody, you're not helping the debate.

BTW: Either going to a HBCU or a PWI ( with a good black population), can help you create and grow your own black business. Ever heard of black alumni associations or HBCU connect?
