These shows all make me mad. It was one show, it wasn't Hardcore Pawn but it was a Pawn Show. Anyway, this guy brought something in that was from the civil war times. The pawnshop had an expert come look at it and "their" expert said it was worth $12,000. When he walked out, the guy that brought the piece in wanted $10,000. He was quick to mention that "their" expert said it was worth $12,000. They looked at his ass like and was like, "I don't see no more than $2,000". Dude even said that he would take $6,000. They was like But I'm glad that he took that shyt and left.

I remember one time someone was told the item was worth 18,000 and the pawn guys top dollar was 4,000

The name of the game is buy low and sell high. Its a complete numbers game, for every 100 people that decline your offer there's going to be 2-5 that accept. Also y'all gotta factor in the risk they taking, yes the items are worth 10 stacks but what's the market for the item, supply and demand, how many people are out there that will really want that item and for 10 racks no less.

With that said they are really lowballing the shyt out of people.
