And that reason, is simply protocol.
Theres also a reason why when they get dumped, taxi, limo, security, and all other major fleet users trip over one another buying up as many as they can...its because of their long time proven RELIABILTY.
But thats just speaking for the Vics..cant say a word about the Tahoes. Remind your father that half of these vehicles are simply detective units, police/fire chief units, or at worse, hwy patrol. Its the used and abused ex PATROL units hes actually warning you against, and i somewhat agree with him. But only somewhat, because ive even seen good patrol units, especially the ones that come from small town USA.
