Evidently you have problems with comprehension! Securing and storing cherished or prized valuables doesn't mean they have to be hidden or concealed out of sight.

So having important or irreplaceable memorabilia for others to view inside the home isn't the issue, because at the end of the day AC Green's championship rings OBVIOUSLY weren't secured or stored properly even if they were "probably in display cases" or they wouldn't have been stolen.
