I been trying to tell people about how important judges are. Any good legislation that is passed in the next few years will get a challenge. Obama left way too many vacancies on the federal courts. Trump and the senate republicans have put a number of right wing extremists judges in the courts. This will be a problem for decades to come.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Federal taxes should be unconstitutional then :mjpls:

I mean, they were invented to offset the lost revenue from prohibition, so once alcohol was made legal again, federal taxes should have went away.

And I find it ironic that we live in a country where corporations have the same rights as humans, but the fattest country in the world should not be required to have health coverage.

I remember when Bush proposed allowing people to take from their retirement money to pay for hospital bills :mjlol:.

At the end of the day, people get sick a lot. Insurance company premiums are based on how many people get sick vs. how many people are insure + 20% greed.

Motherfukkers need to make better life choices or let Darwinism run its course.

It should be all or nothing. Government run healthcare with a medical tax. Doctors need to take pay cuts, and run private practice medicine on the side if need be.

The ACA was based on a republican model anyway, so it's no wonder its falling apart.

Excelsior! New York Will Start 2020 $6 Billion In The Hole

The New York Times

For much of this year, it seemed that nothing could stand in the way of progressive activists’ agenda in New York. Then came the $6.1 billion budget gap.

Raise taxes? Cut state programs? Neither option is ever desirable, especially in a year when every state lawmaker is up for re-election.

New York Progressives Meet Immovable Object: a $6 Billion Budget Gap
Raise taxes? Cut state programs? Neither option is ever desirable, especially in a year when every state lawmaker is up for re-election.

Next big pitfall of the ACA starting to bite? State and county budgets aren't looking so rosy.

@FAH1223 @tru_m.a.c thoughts?

Nah it was fragile from the get go, with legal challenges across the country, and half of congress vowing to rip it apart first chance they got... Dems forced it through anyway, lost congress and rethugs made good on their vow.
Bad legislating all around regardless of the bills good intentions.
