Lets be real. No team that gets the #4 spot is a championship contender, in this set up. And it's not just about how you lost but when you lost. There is no argument for ND not falling out the top 4. I am not a Texas A&M fan at all. My team (Michigan) is triddash, I got no dog in the fight. But ND has no business being in this conversation after today, and the FAIR and logical thing is for the #5 seed to move up. There's also plenty of precedent for 1 loss SEC teams getting in.
The only argument for ND is based on ratings and the program. fukk that.
ND has a better resume than any team currently outside the top 4.

I'm talking about this year not in general. I think Bama or Clemson are clearly the best teams in the country, but OSU could compete if they can get healthy. The #4 seed, whether it's TA&M or ND, is gonna get smoked. I just think it should be TA&M.
Nope. I can't think of a team ranked as highly as ND does every year that completely crumbles (not loses but gets destroyed) when they play a top 5 squad.

What does that have to do with who deserves to be in the playoffs based on resume
The same squad they lost to with missing their QB and others due to COVID. They just barely won that game too. Who have they beaten aside from a top 5 squad missing players?
They also beat a good UNC team. You can’t discount their Clemson win. Offense is not the reason Clemson lost that game
