Such bullshyt. When he resigned the 5 year deal, he admitted publically that at seem point there was going to have to be a rebuild.

Maybe Ainge wants to tank the season and Doc isn't having any of that. Celtics pieces have no trade value now so only way to get better is through the draft. There were probably levels of rebuilding Doc was willing to accept but tanking is really their only option. Landscape for the C's has changed since Rivers signed that extension.

Doc signed a 5 year deal, said I'm a Celtic, and admitted he'd have to go through rebuilding at some point through that contract.

It's whatever, but the only way Danny should let him coach another team if he wants to this year is if we get back compensation.
