From a personal point of view, there is a level of pride I would have from having a biological child. Flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood and all that. When I think about adopting a child, I can't think of anything personally linking myself to that child. When someone writes an article like this, it's like they're trying to 1) spark a conversation or 2) upend what has been common sense in cultures since humanity began. ...That's the best way I can say this.

Alot of shyt that used to be weird or unpopular have become normalized now. A vasectomy, for example, was an extremely unpopular idea where I was growing up. Men would physically cringe at the idea. Now, even to my surprise, you have alot of folks doing it (though I often see white men encourage brehs to do it but that's for another topic)

It used to be normal for a woman to get married, and want to have kids. But because of modern feminism and the prevalence of the 'boss bytch', 'strong and independent woman', etc. you have many women who don't even think about having kids.

Many unwritten, unspoken rules are being blatantly violated with no regard. Folks are pushing boundaries left and right; sheer chaos. Modern American culture is just so fukking backwards now.

How terrible. People are thinking for themselves and making decisions based on what they actually want, not because of societal pressure

Telling humans how they should feel when being an adopted child can end up being one of the most tragic and traumatic experiences known to man.
