My experience of black fatherhood is it's gotten significantly better. My generation is there. It was baby boomers and older gen Xers that were absent.

I can believe it. I have hella friends who are dad's and all of them are actively involved with the kids. even the ones who don't live with their kids.

I don't even associate with nikkas that DON'T get involved with their seeds.

I would even argue that black men are more likely to be positive male role models / fathers to step children and other children that aren't theirs.

I have seen this in my life when dealing with black men and non black men. I even seen it with my own dad and his friend (who was also black and a teacher like my dad) how they were father figures to kids at their school who parents divorced, father's who had died or fathers who were never there. My dad was even like a father figure to some girls I grew up with whose father passed away at a young age. I remember one year he took those girls with us to Disney world the year their father died as a way to cheer them up. I remember their mother being so grateful to my mom and dad for that.
