The arguments against Chipotle:

1) It's not as good as non-chain, authentic Mexican spots.

I doubt most would disagree with this.

2) It's not enough meat/food

Most burritos and bowls at Chipotle approach 1000 calories* with a nice split of carbs, protein and fat. If this isn't enough for you, either you are in some kind of training and you understand what it takes to meet your caloric goals OR you're just fat. A few less calories might be a blessing in disguise tubby.

I only fukk with it when it's convenient, I like cause it's fills you up and doesn't give the bloated feel of regret...it's pretty much quality junk food....Its a deep Latino/carribean pop where I live so There damn near a pollo/rotti spot or a food truck at every block.....and the restaurant s always have the cheap drink s on deck:banderas:

I'm going to have to call bullshyt on this one. Don't get me wrong if you are comparing Chipotle to authentic Mexican food then it's already at a disadvantage. I take a few trips to Cali every year for work and I got fam in Texas so no doubt Chipotle isn't touching authentic Southwestern/Mexican fare, hell NJ/NY has some very good Mexican places in their own rights. But I'm not gonna put Chipotle on the same level as abuelitas cooking, so we can take that off the table.

I also don't know where people are paying 11 bucks for a Chipotle Burrito, maybe that's in NY because in Jersey you're paying 10 bucks after taxes (inluding guacomole) and that includes a drink (but maybe the prices went up some). As a whole, Chipotle is better tasting than most fast food, due to the limited menu and fast turnaround of the ingredients which is what kills most fast food places also, that burrito is chock full of stuff. I'm a big guy and I usually only eat half there and half later. Hell you can get more meat for a couple of bucks, if your some reason you're not satisfied.

In short Chipotle is good for a fast casual place. Like I said in another thread, I think Baja Fresh is better (better tasting and healthier) but they are also more expensive. Dudes out here paying 10 bucks for a meal expecting haute cuisine.

only pay $7.75 for a burrito from b-more, to dc, to northern Virginia and that's after a price raise last yr. I wouldn't go if it was $10.
