I wouldnt be mad at someone having a statham movie. But he doesnt have a certified classic. I loved crank and transporter though.
Surprised nobody other than me has mentioned heat. I guess you could say its not an action film exactly but the shootout/hiest scene is an all time great.
Surprised no fast and furious love. Ff5 and 6 are classics for me.
I was going to put heat on my list but it got nudged out
at least once and Dredd is on that short list. I consider the whole Fast and Furious franchise comedy not action.
For real!
I gotta watch this one with my boys. One of them was hyping Raid 2 last week and now everyone on here is. I think I may have been sleeping too long on these movies. I already have them downloaded and everything, just never sat down to watch yet.
Mix Die Hard, Warrior King and Hard Boiled in a pot and this is what it looks like. Even the hood rat kids at the cinema were watching silently like

I'm ready.
It ain't a top 10 I guess. I seen it 2-3 times back in the day. It's a good film though.

So, what, those action sequences were run of the mill, Steven Segal straight to dvd quality? Come on, there was stuff in that film I've never seen done before. As for the story telling it's an action movie, the action tells the story, if you see a good kung fu fight the choreography and the rhythm of the fight function as narrative.
Be realistic, Predator, Commando and Under Siege are all legit top 10s, but the closest they get to developing a character is the predator laugh. The Raid doesn't need all that set up because you already know the score going in, good guys vs bad, just sit back and enjoy the aggressive content.
