That's what I was saying earlier. Some cats can do it. Like Redman. But even then, Redman put out 3 albums in 5 years. So music wasn't played out back then.
Action dropped like 6-7 albums worth of material in 3-4 years.
The few songs where he raps about actual stuff aren't that bad either. I think he should do it more often.
On one hand, I would say that he needs to learn that everybody won't like your shyt but then again he spent all that time to make the album only for people to call his shyt wack lol I'd be salty too.
Cats were saying that in the official album thread. That he works better as a personality. Man him sitting back upset at people that don't like his raps are just the best fukking thing ever is the height of pretentiousness. The fukk you expect when you drop like 5 or 6 mixtapes/albums and then finally drop your "debut" album?
IMO he doesn't really have the content for longevity. You can literally swap basically any of his verses with each other and there's no real difference. You could plug basically every verse from any mixtape onto these beats and the album would still sound exactly the same. That's not always a bad thing. Some of my favorite rappers ever basically rap about nothing and/or the same shyt (Redman for example.)
Here are a couple of the only songs that I know of where he's doing stuff that's more introspective and not the stream of consciousness rhymes.
Ev easily stole the show on this IMO but it might be my favorite song he's done.
Album was a letdown. Rappers fail to realize that when you're "experimenting" with music, there's always someone who does what you're experimenting on properly that we can go listen to. That being said, save your "experimenting" for the tapes.
Im currently listening to Emmy The Great's Virtue album, almost half way through and Im debating on wether I should keep listening to this or Bronson's album instead.

i liked it when i heard it a while back but I've been skipping a few times since the album came out.
Cam was supposed to be the special guest he kept talking that he had for Blue Chips 2 and it never came through.
when i heard Only In America i wondered if maybe he reached out to Cam through Alc or someone to try and get him on it or never bothered after he failed to get him the first time.
