Was Alchemist involved in this one?

@Theabbot He did 3 beats. One is the best song on the album. It's called Terry. He did 2 other beats. Falconry and galactic Love. Falconry is ehhhh. Galactic Love is cool. He also did a bonus joint called Big League Chew. I got all 3 in the spoiler tag below.

As a whole I thought the album was okay.

This is my thing. Once you're an artist, and you put an album out to the world, it is what it is. Critics critique shyt, and they aren't always gonna love it. That's my issue with Kanye. I don't mind that he's opinionated, but I don't like when he tries to force what HE thinks is dope on others, and if he doesn't like something, he DOESN'T wasn't you to like it either.

Bronson made a decent album that a lot of people thought wasn't on par with some of his earlier work like rare Chandeliers or Blue Chips. Big deal. Action, you got nothing to be mad about dude. You're on VICE, you have a cooking show, you're a decent rapper, you made it. Chill the fukk out. Some people don't like your album? Whatever.

The fukking nerve of people nowadays man. It's so smug and self-amused. His whole sense of humor is self-amused, so I shouldn't be surprised that he's outspokenly angry towards people that just don't like the album.

Like Common said, "If I don't like, I don't like it, it don't mean that I'm hating."

ALC joints from the album

Not really? Bronson's label was the focus, not Alchemist. Bronson even said ALC was even :francis: on a few tracks.

But from my own personal perspective....Baby Blue is a fun track...I have no hate for it..its cool...the beat is chill...chorus is funny..I would let it ride out...its not thoroughly skippable

also City Boy Blues is ill....so I guess I'm not who he is talking to :yeshrug:

My favorite track is still Only In America...that first verse and the beat is ill as fukk

Edit: Cam would of blessed Only In America :wow:

His personality + entertainment value is stronger than his music, in my opinion. I'd watch him on TV but I wouldnt sit thru his album

Cats were saying that in the official album thread. That he works better as a personality. Man him sitting back upset at people that don't like his raps are just the best fukking thing ever is the height of pretentiousness. The fukk you expect when you drop like 5 or 6 mixtapes/albums and then finally drop your "debut" album?

IMO he doesn't really have the content for longevity. You can literally swap basically any of his verses with each other and there's no real difference. You could plug basically every verse from any mixtape onto these beats and the album would still sound exactly the same. That's not always a bad thing. Some of my favorite rappers ever basically rap about nothing and/or the same shyt (Redman for example.)

Here are a couple of the only songs that I know of where he's doing stuff that's more introspective and not the stream of consciousness rhymes.

Ev easily stole the show on this IMO but it might be my favorite song he's done.

Is this it?

'"Terry' is my favorite song on the album. Produced by the Alchemist. We were in a funk for a little bit, so we call it. It wasn't really a funk whatsoever. We did 'Big League Chew' and 'Terry' in the same day. 'Terry' was the one that got Al out of his quote-unquote beat-making funk. And me just rhyming on that just made me feel like a fukking man. If I heard that beat anywhere else, if anyone else had it, I would be so fukking pissed. I would be heartbroken. I'm just glad that I have that joint. And then that extra piece that comes on the end of it is where we get a little psychedelic and deep. Again, my man ChauncySherod is singing 'What are we waiting for?' Just giving you a little entrance into opportunity be knocking."

Album was a letdown. Rappers fail to realize that when you're "experimenting" with music, there's always someone who does what you're experimenting on properly that we can go listen to. That being said, save your "experimenting" for the tapes.

I hate when nikkas think because they have songs with no rapping on it it means the music is good or that "we don't know good music" no dumbass, the songs just aren't good

I'm not even speaking on this album because I haven't heard it, just in general. Rappers feel like if they experiment with songs than they're immune to criticism.
