I don't have a gun and lately I've been feeling like a sitting duck out there :snoop:

I've been thinking about this a lot recently too. I live in New York City though, so it's hard to get a legal gun. It has me even thinking to the point of eventually moving to a state where the laws are a lot more relaxed.

Straight out the fukkin' dungeons of rap
I don't want to come off like one of the militants in here, but I swear this whole "I hope he's not Black", or "please don't let him be a brother" anxieties (possibly insecurities for some) needs to stop. If you're concerned about the way people are going to view you or how the media portrays you because of this one brother's actions, I got news for you........they didn't like you and were suspicious of you before this incident. After this incident, they're still not going to like you and present unfair narratives and depictions of you.

. Beyond that, since when are we as Black folks above it all? To be honest I'm surprised more Black folks aren't losing their minds and shooting sh!t up. Not saying it's justified, but completely understandable. As times get worse, which will happen, you're going to see more people lighting sh!t up. Of all races. I'm waiting on a woman to get busy.

I agree with the first part but this shooting is just as unjustified and unwarranted as any police officer that unloads on an unarmed black man because of bias.

Of course it's unjustified, however, what I posted earlier wasn't a defense or pro mass shooting argument. All I'm saying is you're going to see more events like this as times get continually worse. Folks need to get the "I hope he's not a brother" sentiments out of their system now because from time to time it will be one of ours. The main thing is, so what if it is. We're not immune to stresses and momentary lapses in sanity. What he did doesn't reflect upon me, nor does it reflect upon you. What I do reflects upon me, as what you do reflects on you. I shouldn't be judged by that man's actions, hence I'm not worried nowadays when something happens and the race of the suspect is yet to be revealed. It doesn't matter. I used to feel that way too, hoping it wasn't one of ours, but fukk all that nowadays. Most of these killings are done by white dudes. So what if every now and then one of our own does it? Now saying it's right but why be insecure about it?

In addition, again, while I agree with you that it's not justified, at the same time who knows what he was dealing with on that job or if that firing was appropriate. Might be a victim or two that had it coming to them.

How you figure ? Not coming at you but enlighten me?

Bosses have too much power over people's lives. In an iniquitous environment like the workplace, BULLIES can get their kicks and drive fragile people to do shyt like this (instead of the usual just going home, getting drunk and taking it out on their families).

That's how unbridled capitalism works its ugly magic.

Healthy unions are one solution. Another is taking health care out the hands of bosses, so that men are emboldened to start their own enterprise and eek out a living on their own.

UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE -- GOVERNMENT SPONSORED HEALTH INSURANCE IS GOOD FOR BLACK MEN.

... Particularly independence-minded black men, who don't want to have to lop off their balls just to earn their keep.

PLEASE VOTE FOR UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE -- so in the future, you can tell your ugly boss to kiss your ass and still have health insurance while you figure out how to turn your side hustle into full time.
