Not counting this shooting and the other one today, since March 16 (the Atlanta spa attacks) there were 45 mass shootings in the US including the one in Indianapolis at FedEx.

We'll see, but the current suspect (Stephen Nicholas Broderick) has been in the news before. Charged with child sexual assault. He was formerly a Travis County Sheriff's Office detective.
