Not counting this shooting and the other one today, since March 16 (the Atlanta spa attacks) there were 45 mass shootings in the US including the one in Indianapolis at FedEx.

Your run of the mill triple homicides usually go uncovered nationally. When something is deemed “active shooter” that gets the viral coverage. This was a domestic incident which was deemed as an active shooter situation it looks like, perhaps because the guy is on the run and is a potential looming threat to others
