How does America look from the outside breh? Genuinely curious to know. I am so numb to the idea of mass shooters. In any other 1st world country this would be a headline news story for an entire month.

These types of events are so normalized in American society and due to your 2nd amendment and no politician seriously willing to make changes or draft legislation (due to fear of those millions of armed gun nuts), it’s a recipe for disaster. Hell you could go deeper into some of the social, political and economic issues plaguing America that is also part of why we see this type of mayhem - Violence is apart of American society.

From its very inception, the country was founded on the barbaric treatment of Native Americans and African slaves and when the violence is glorified in every form of entertainment (music, television, film, video games) and in the face of your average American everyday of their life since they are born with a population of 300 million +, it’s a ticking time bomb.

Yeah, there’s the actual town of Hempstead that has many villages and other unincorporated hamlets. Some rich, some poor, but mostly middle class. There’s also the town of north Hempstead, that’s mostly wealthy

I’m not sure if they tried to change the town name or not. It doesn’t have as much of an impact as the actual hamlet having Hempstead in the name

I found this out randomly looking up heampstead on wiki and saw it had a population of almost 1 million. Like 700K. In like wtf? Always knew of Hempstead the village and not the town. Doesn’t shock me that cacs don’t claim Hempstead tho.
