Wills first wife was the one who filed for divorce. Basically she felt she was to young to be tied down to a marriage.

10 years is excessive, but only because I think that's basically a soft ban of Will from any serious, Oscar-bait movies for 10 years. Oscars are low key campaigned for, and none of these execs are going to want to take a chance on blowing their shot at an Oscar because they put Will on their project.
A 3 year ban would have made more sense to me.
But yall need to take the cape off for Will. Yall sound like women w/ the lack of accountability and focus on how the world should be vs. how it actually is. Is it excessive? Yes, but his reaction in the 1st place was excessive. Yall dont understand how image obsessed Hollywood is and how bad of a look it was for everyone to be laughing and smiling and applauding someone who just assaulted someone else onstage.
At the end of the day this was all in Will's power to avoid, and he took power from himself and gave it to Jada and then to the Academy. It's one thing to have it taken from you, and another thing to give it away.
