Biden beats Trump, but gets washed against DeSantis. Trump running again is the best thing that could happen to Biden. His age doesn't matter against Trump. Because the election becomes a referendum on Trump, not Biden.
Biden vs DeSantis, the election is referendum on Biden and his age is the deciding issue in the election. Youth/a fresh face beats old. White moderates/independents don't care enough about the racist, homophobic, hard right conservative things that DeSantis has done. They didn't care enough when Trump was saying wild shyt in 2016. Trump still won that voter block over Clinton.
I'm personally content that Trump is running. Because he's going to cost them the white house in 2024 unless the economy crashes and he's going to kill off the future candidates for 2028 (DeSantis mainly) in the process by attacking and shytting on them. And it's Biden's best shot at re-election.

At least Trump had some mainstream appeal. DeSantis has none and is even further to the right of Trump. Trump himself who was further to right in his first term in office than people expected got crushed. The American people will not allow a far-right candidate like DeSantis get elected to President.
Trump is the only Republican candidate that stands a chance in this election, which is why the Democrats are trying to make him unelectable. Secondly, do you think if Trump loses to DeSantis in the primaries that his supporters are all going to rally behind him? That's pretty doubtful I'd say.

I disagree with you here. The voting bloc that Trump won over Clinton was the working class voters from the Rust Belt, who Bernie Sanders had in the bag. Bernie was trending over all Republican candidates in projected Presidential election polls. There were a few polls like the Rasmusses poll that had Trump defeating Hillary.
It was that same voting bloc that was voting for Obama in droves that outrightly rejected Hillary. Sanders would have gotten those same voters. The issue for Bernie is that he had 0 clout among black voters. Black voters voted for Hillary upwards of 90% which is insane. .

Understand that Trump only lost the 2020 election by 44,000 votes. He lost Georgia and Arizona by roughly 12,000 votes each. And Wisconsin by 20,000 votes. If Trump won those 3 states in 2020, he would have won re-election on a 269-269 tie. And some of that were Republicans who voted for Biden.
And those same independents and Republicans that went to Biden in 2020 would likely go back to DeSantis. DeSantis is not the voter turnout villain that Trump was and still is. The left hates DeSantis. The independents, white moderates see a 45 year old new face vs an 80 man that shouldn't be President at that age. Easy decision considering they don't care enough about bigotry.
They changed the electrical count in some states. So if the Republican nominee wins Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona, they win the election 272-269. That's basically doing the bare minimum to win the election.
Biden vs Trump plays out the same way as 2020 unless the economy crashes. I gave North Carolina to Biden for 2024 even though he lost it in 2020.
Biden vs DeSantis. I personally think DeSantis wins PA, Nevada and Michigan too which would be a blow out, but this is the bare minimum that would need to happen to win. Simply winning Georgia, Wisconsin and Arizona.
