Of course he knew. He was damn near a middle man. The Lakers were definitely interested and through his communications with Bron he was able to let Jeanie know what it would take. Jeanie’s desire to sign Bron and Kobe’s ultimatum to clean house saved GOAT franchise.
smh, I really preferred keeping Gasol but my guess is that that’s over now. I still think he should stick around because you never know what could happen with injuries but I’d understand if he or if the team decides to move on.

I don't think he'll make it through the season without getting waived, so I'm not tripping too much on him
I like the signing. Dude isn't going to put up insane numbers but a big body that can catch lobs is fine. And it will play a part in the post season when you just need a physical presence to keep guys like Nikola from just dropping 50 on you. Dwight did just fine with that last chip. Just a role to play.
