The source said league officials had to have seen it. This source has been impeccable, and I believed the information. So I wrote that the league had seen the tape. I should have called the NFL for a comment, a lapse in reporting on my part. The league says it has not seen the tape, and I cannot refute that with certainty.

It's really disgusting. James Harrison and Big Ben didn't get this outrage. Josh Brent, donte Stallworth, and Leonard little didn't either. Floyd, Steve Austin, and Sean Connery and Charlie sheen never caught this much heat. By all accounts this seems to be an isolated incident that we knew about 7 months ago too. Are we really that desperate to nail someone up on the cross so to speak and act as if someone is no better than the worst mistake they've ever made, just because they weren't caught? Purely hypothetical here. Let's say I go order a few hurricanes with my friends at pat O'Brien's on Sunday night and I drive one of them home, but I'm wasted. Am I somehow better than the fool who did the same, but did get caught? We aren't out worst mistake, and I find the self righteous attitude that even actors and politicians are chiming in with to be especially appalling. The league is reacted like wwe did over Chris Benoit or the way the NFL did over Aaron Hernandez (multiple homicides)
