ahh this is a fanboy thing i am grown and buy my own shyt. I look for the best deal and pre-ordering offers me none so fukk a lay-away plan.
why wait a few weeks?
I can see if you don't trust a new system and want to get the proverbial "kinks" ironed out but you can't possibly believe that will happen in a matter of weeks. so I pose the question to you... what are the benefits of waiting a few weeks after launch??
i am not against against getting it at launch but i see no benefit in pre-ordering. And if i can not get it at launch then i wait a few weeks.
If you don't get it at launch the chances of you getting it in "a few weeks" for the actual price will be slim to none.

They will but usually the second batch of systems don't hit stores till the top of the next year. Anything can happen but it's not likely they reup super fast with such high demand and preorder numbers.

I pre-ordered because I don't want to change my mind around launch and be out somewhere waiting in line trying to get one.
It's not like the shyt is going to drop in price anytime soon, and I know I want one, so I'll get it. I'll just get a warranty from Best Buy so if it fukks up I'll swap it out same day.

People are really being stupid about this whole thing. You put $100 down at gamestop and pay it off slowly...you wont even feel the dent if you pay a little off every time you go shopping. Change your mind? Get your money back
I have 2 of them like that, will resell on eBay if the prices are crazy...if not? Get a refund on all the ones I have and keep one for myself.

you cant just order more and have them show up. these are a new, fairly large, complicated, and expensive product with an international release. logistics will be tough initially as long as demand maintains.
