Because you'd have two players that can play out of the triangle and their skillsets offset one another? Blake in the triangle is a 24-28ppg scorer with 4-6apg, all while shooting 50%.

You have a promising PF/C, a dude that will more than likely be a C in the next two years.

Get a PG and a 3 & D SF and you're a lot better off than praying Melo can fight off the :flabbynsick: that is clearly starting to track him down.

I don't think Porzingis HAS TO BE A C in the next few years. Sure he's 7'3 and the league is going small, but you still have more bigs with legit center size entering the league. Him bulking up for C might take away husb agility, plus it's easier to shoot over someone that's 6'8 - 6'10(average PF size) than someone whom is 6'10 + and weighs over 250 lbs.

Knicks have their pick next year in a projected great draft, might as well flip Blake for whomever gets the 2nd pick(Ingram) and tank for Josh. By the time KP hits his prime, Blake will be near the end of his and his game is reliant on athleticism.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Blake aint getting traded for a 31yo SF with bad knees. Stop it!

If they ever get to the point of moving Blake and they want a "star" in return...call up Indy. Blake for George should be the goal.

Act like Doc didn't trade Eric Bledsoe for Jared Dudley :mjlol:

If you can get Blake for Melo, you move Kristaps to C :yeshrug:

Putting him at the 5 in a league going small means the Knicks would almost always have a size advantage on teams who are small, while also matching a legit PF like Blake up with someone that can't guard him and wont get the proper help because the opposing center will be out by the 3 line. If they put the C on Blake and the PF on Kristaps then it's a mismatch, Blake takes 5s off the dribble like they're cones standing in his way. A big skilled frontcourt where both guys can pass, one has three point range and the other can hit the middy.

It's all about forcing the other team into mismatches.

Everyone can see the Clippers aren't going to win shyt with the Blake/CP3/Jordan trio, they keep hammering away at something that will never happen. They got Jordan locked up and CP3 is due for a contract extension soon, so something has to give.

Even if they made it to the finals they are not built to beat the Cavs.

People that keep trading Carmelo do realize that he has a no trade clause in his contract right?

Melo loves NY. He ain't gonna accept a trade anywhere, even if he thought he could win a championship in that place.

Blake for Melo makes the most sense for both teams.

if the clippers traded blake for melo, how are they possibly going to match the warriors small ball of death lineup in the conference semi's?

Durant and Westbrrok aren't making shyt either, but you won't say anything about them.

not for the clippers
It depends on how many more years Melo has left in his body to play at a high level. I'm a Blake guy but a CP3, Melo, DJ trio might be pretty effective. But on a side note Blake's finally been humbled and I'm wondering if he'll comeback like a man possessed at the end of the season:ohhh: If not and he can't really contribute then its yet another wasted season and with the Warriors becoming unbeatable it'll be that time to break up the core
