Sounds like some bullshyt about to occur. Talks of "Franchise Tag" and "Every team should be competitive ". They trying to reduce the players power and give it to the owners like in Foolsball.

Free agency! He signed an extension for OKC, did his time and wanted to move on. 
OKC shouldn't have had to choose between Perkins and harden. The problem is that the cba changed right after we signed Perkins and then the league retroactively rose ruled Kevin durant. Which cost us 3mm per year out of the blue. Before the lockout we could have signed all of them without caring about a repeater tax. The point was to help small market teams when in fact it helped destroyed one. The next lockout will be worse for the players. Tags potentially and percentage of the cap rules .blame durant for this .
All teams have the opportunity to compete, but you can't stop a player from leaving when he's allowed to.
OKC at one point had KD/Russ/Harden/Ibaka. They didn't want to pay Harden so they shipped him off, they had injury problems that kept them from advancing the next 2-3 years. KD had a chance to leave, he did. Russ will probably do the same.
Even if KD didn't go to OKC, the other teams he looked at, outside of Boston, he would've joined "elite" players.
I'm not sure how you can stop that.
