I'm saying she stole her swag and the whole sound...
that "whole sound" goes back to the days of motown, stax records, stone flower (sly stone's label) curtom records (curtis mayfield's record label) and many other labels from back in the 70's as well as 60's (motown) and as well as jazz from the 50's, 60's and 70's, bruh
a lot of british/english artists and people are very big fans/greatly influenced by r&b/soul and jazz music from back in the day, that's where that comes from
adele was influenced by black artists such as etta james, roberta flack, ella fitzgerald and many others
and for the record, you sayin' this like amy winehouse was the 1st english artist to come along, embrace soul music and do soul music
you know there were artists such as dusty springfield, david bowie (he's done a hybrid of styles) both phil collins and peter gabriel of genesis with they solo careers were largely influenced by soul music of the 60's and 70's, lisa stansfield, simply red and the list goes on and on
amy didn't own that sound, bruh. many other artists from england have/had used it way before her
