My wife was on it early. He has an iPad but we don’t let him use it that often. And when he does, she updated the YouTube settings so he can only watch subscribed kids content, like Nick Jr, Miss Rachel, PBS Kids etc. That’s the best way to keep the algorithm safe. We thought just having the toddler settings on meant we were good but nope.
Exactly. Although we read that dangerous shyt can slip into kid safe YouTube algorithms, it wasn’t even that that started to worry us. It was just weird shyt that he was constantly swiping through, like Malaysian adults singing weird ass songs. Made no sense.
Download the Khan Academy Kids app breh and thank me later. A library of books, learning games etc. and most importantly can be used with no access to the internet.
My son is 3 years old and the only things we allow him to watch now on Youtube is educational content that isn't too stimulating (no music is key). Channels like this are great: Boey Bear - Toddler Learning Videos
