The Blues form didn't come from Mali, only certain traits of the Blues (blue notes) are ancestral to the Afram slave stock in Griot Africa/Sahel. This isn't a post slavery stream of influence.

Euro music had chord changes but the 12 bar blues is distinctly ADOSian and not found in Europe because it was the result of African musical aspects clashing with Euro ones to make a new creolized form
