Odd career. He was considered an underachiever with LA til his last year there. Then his career was stagnant and irrelevant playing in big ass Seattle. Then the 8 last years have been amazing. Probably the third best player this decade behind Trout and Miggy.

It's funny that even after all of these years whenever I see an article about Beltre the comment section is filled with Dodger fans.

Dude would always peak when it was time for a new contract and then he finally put it all together. shyt was strange as hell because I though he was just motivated by money.

When L.A. let him walk I didn't even care because it was like "contract year numbers"

Then he dropped off and it looked like he would be and underachiever but then he got to Texas and somehow "grew up" I guess. Congrats to him though

Low key his last 2 healthy years in seattle were solid (+ Gold Glove Defense at third). That one year in Boston was what really made him legit and he hasn't let up since.
