i knew switch before belts, i stayed next door at my grandma's a lot as a kid, and definitely remember being 4-5 and getting the switch from her, i don't think i got hit with a belt til i was like 6/7...i did't get whoopins often cuz i wasn't bad, but i don't see the issue with me getting a few lashes from a switch, i feel like the belt was much harsher
