Yea , just to clarify, I read many books 1 like the slave community and we as black people picked up a ton of master/slave forms of punishment that quite honestly only invoke fear which ultimately leads to anger and more dangerous children. Tactics like stripping your kid nude putting them in the tub and beating them, or tying them to the radiator while it's hot and whipping them are sick master/slave tactics passed down that we blacks need to remove. I myself never got that treatment I'm like others got the belt extention cord switch, but I know dudes who got those slave treatment beatings and nearly all of them dead or in jail or Crack heads or low life's on a corner.

Not that I don't think it's a place for whoopings. But as my elders taught me it's a difference between whoopings and beatings. Pop on the hand, pop on the leg, followed by explaining what's right and wrong is the way to do it. Quite honestly I have mastered with my kids the art of threats real bad where they think I'm going to whoop them but I dont.
