I have no problem with spankings but I think he was going too hard with the switch... I never got lacerations ever from wippings and I got hit with the fly swatter.. the medal part.

A thin branch will leave a mark more than a fly swatter. switches ALWAYS leave some kind of mark... especially if you are of fair skin.

I did say it was overboard....I think most people look at life through a lens that was shaped by mass media....so your perception of what matters in life is kind of warped....cause all media cares about is sensationalizing stories to shape your opinions....

All I know is this...I cannot raise my black sons in a way the white liberal media would approve of and expect them to be the black man they're capable of being in this white society......With that being said..I aint condoning what AP did, nor do I know what his aim was......but what I do know is it takes another level of instilling discipline into our black seeds if they think they're gonna get what they deserve in this society.....What does that all entail? Those marks on a grown woman would never be accepted as "discipline". While just by going by public reaction to this story,a good sum of people see the marks on the kid as no big deal and just a dad disciplining his son.

My son is four. I wouldn't hesitate to tan his ass if he was disrespectful. I've never had to spank him though because he was raised right. Normally a stare of death is enough to change my sons behavior quickly. Leaving your kid bloody isn't disciplined its abuse. One good smack on the butt and sent to time out is disciplined
