From my experience, a switch leave marks on you but it shouldn't be too severe. I doubt that we see pictures because it a kid. This was a horrible week to start the NFL season.

If you whoop your kid hard enough where there is physical evidence after, I would say that is child abuse. I got spanked and whooped as a kid but nothing that put bruises or scar on me.

i've had bruises and dont feel abused. if the belt pops your skin, you'll break capillaries and cause a bruise, and any switch will cause a welt, it's like being scratched
