i've had bruises and dont feel abused. if the belt pops your skin, you'll break capillaries and cause a bruise, and any switch will cause a welt, it's like being scratched

My moms used to whoop me with rulers and feather dusters, which is probably equivalent to a switch. Don't remember any marks though. And yes they went 100 on me.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but if news reports are accurate you really shouldn't be beating other people's kids with a switch.

If the kid is getting annoying, call their parents and send them home or wait till the parents come and tell em and don't invite the kid round but beating another persons kid enters touchy territory.....
