Seems to me AD was just trying to discipline his kid and went a little too far. I dont think he was trying to purposely injure or hurt his kid, he showed remorse in his texts. He probably take a plea dead for reduce charges and do anger management and child supervision for a while. We live in a different society and we cannot discipline kids like in the 70s, 80s and 90s. We have the time-out, talk it our era of kids who are now adults and they are being senstive and over-protective. He did overreact but sometimes our love ones can make us very angry if they do something they not suppose to because they were warned multiple times but still didn't listen.
