Yeah man he does it on purpose. He wants his shyt to sound sampled or to sound like something rap nikkas would sample. I read an interview where he said he tries to make his shyt sound like something RZA would sample in the mid90s. And he doesn't listen to music or use equipment post-1997.

Dude is one of the illest out right now period. Out here using straight old ass analog equipment to make some vintage sounding shyt thats still fresh in the modern day.

The guy's probably of the best if not the best musician out right now in the hip hop culture

Hell yeah. Look him up and peep his interviews. He's a stuck in the 90s ass nikka. Uses nothing but old analog equipment and doesn't listen to music made after 1997 unless its his or nikkas he's producing for. No computers no digital equipment at all apparently.
