It is weird when to hear an adult flat out say they hate kids as if their ass wasn't a kid themselves you weren't born as an adult MF you too was a kid at one point, being an annoying little brat in your own way and yet nobody hated you for the all shyt (hypothetically) you may have done.

As far as trusting goes it depends on the attitude and body language of the individual in question...yeah the person doesn't like kids but do they display aggressive attitudes whenever a child is in their vicinity?

If so yeah I wouldn't trust having them around because in the worst case scenario the child may do something the adult doesn't like and they respond in a way that potentially endangers the child's wellbeing.

Yeah I agree, hate the parents not the kid. I love kids but I steer clear of bad kids. Kids will be kids, it's the parent's job to discipline them. When I know parent's don't, I minimize my interactions with those families. Well behaved kids are always welcomed over here.

I'm simply a laidback peaceful person that can't deal with frantic energy

kids deplete me of all my energy, and I feel worn out and miserable whenever I'm around them

Its simply about not being able to handle their behavior.....I would argue that people who want kids and love kids also have the capacity to not like their kids

She seems to be interpreting "I hate children" in the same way someone would say "I hate the person who killed my father."

I doubt most people who say they hate children mean it that way.

She's 100% correct. People forget that not every kid is "bad", "annoying" or "frantic". There are many well-behaved kids (I was one).

Also, there are plenty of annoying adults. Annoying adults also have the capability of causing damage/trouble that a kid couldn't.
