Not everyone who hates kids is evil, some are just immature or self-centered.

But yeah, if someone says they hate ALL kids, like as a group, that's pretty wild and I'm not going to take them seriously as a person. I expect them to either be really arrogant and think they're "above" anyone who is below a certain age, or to be kinda hedonistic and not want to let anyone else ever interfere with any aspect of their own pleasure-seeking.

Yeah, the ironic part is people like that coming off as immature. I have noticed when people are ranting about kids, it's like they assume kids have complete agency over their actions, when that couldn't be further from the truth. So to me, those people are often immature, as you put it, but also a bit unstable with their emotions towards kids, imo.
