RIP to your sleep, nikka :lolbron:

Congrats, though. Your life will never be the same...I don't mean that in a bad way either.

If there's one piece of advice I can give. SLEEP TRAIN early! Very important.

Thanks for the input so far fellas. Hope this helps not just me, but anyone else lurking the forums as well.

Seems to be a constant theme and that's SLEEP. For my career we do shift work, and I can routinely get sleep deprived with no kid now. So the sleep aspect is gonna be something I gotta look into or research ways to make it better

Gonna look into the sleep training advice

Your biggest spending will be baby formula, assuming she wont breastfeed /pump and diapers. The older they get, the more expensive diapers become.

Sleep training is essential. Early. We sleep trained starting at 11 months and both my boys were fully comfortable sleeping in their own beds after like 2-3 months.

Stay on your womans emotional needs. Post partum depression is real.

The newborn stage is the most fun to me besides the lack of sleep.

Congrats

Babies can be stressful, if you feel yourself getting angry, just put the baby down and walk away for a few minutes.

That's good advice for you and your girl

Sleep train them ASAP!!

Try your best not to give in to their every beck and call, eventually they’ll cry themselves to sleep.

Set up a baby monitor to take some of the worry off. Get them accustomed to sleeping in their own room with the lights off.

Give each other grace. At all times both of you are going to think you do most of the work in the house. You’ll both have bad days. Just remember nothing is intentional. It just gets stressful sometimes.

i forgot, buy a lectrofan sound machine. the fan noise is better than the white noise imo.

we have them in every room now and buy them for every expecting friend and relative.

do not skip buying one.
