He's right in some ways.
As a veteran I always tell young cats who ask my advice about joining the military: Don't get caught up in that patriotic shyt. Make sure you know what YOU want out of it.
Wether it be the job truing or college money or just a paycheck . Make sure YOU know what you want out of it and GET IT. Because Uncle Sam will get his money's worth out of you and when they are done with you, you will be out on your ass. So again, make sure you get what YOU wanted out of it because Uncle Sam will get his.
