Get your education.
No sh1t.
But what education? They never really answer that.
The correct advice is:
- what are you good at. What subject?
— if you can tolerate math, science and/or information technology - get your degree in that.
- or business.
Essentially stay in school and get a degree in fields that are always respected. That pays well.
If you’ve ever told a youth to stay in school and didn’t go past that ‘suggestion’ - slap thyself.
Alot of advice is lazy and unhelpful. You either lead or teach. Advising is for people who are already on top of things and would like to consult about which decisions to make. A president or CEO needs advisors. A kid who doesn't know shyt needs to be taught or led.
For example i've never told a person to get some exercise or to lose weight. What i do is invite them to a workout. Actually show them how to lose weight.
People already know if they need to lose weight or not.
Another example, i have never told somebody to just save money and invest. I actually help friends do it. I had to literally help a friend open a checking account because he always used just cash. and finally got a job that required direct deposit, and the idiot was thinking about passing on the opportunity because that shyt was too complicated
