Does Nielsen even take into account how many people you might have trapped in your basement?

Asking for a friend.

I have a Nielsen meter. They want to know everyone in your house so they can give them meters too. If you don't tell them everyone who is in your house you get disqualified from being a Nielsen household. I'm not even supposed to tell anyone I have the meter.

I didn't realise it was deep like that :ohhh: I guess it makes sense given how much money is in accurate ratings.

You get to use the Stonecutters tunnels to avoid the queues on the highway though yeh?

It's actually more of a pain in the ass to do then anything. They want you wearing a meter everyday and charging it every night. The minute anything goes wrong or you don't use the meter for a day or two they're blowing up your phone. I'm about ready to give it back.

Damn, that's crazy - I thought it was just a passive box that plugged into the cable box or something you could forget about.

Me too. That's why I agreed to do it initially. It used too be somewhat like that before but from everything I've read they used to bug more often and the box was always going out. They went to this new system where you carry a meter that picks up TV frequencies. If I'm out in public it picks up if someone else is watching a game. It keeps track of more viewing and listening platforms than traditional cable. They want to know every way you consume TV or radio.
